What Is a Construction Site Hoarding?
A construction hoarding board is a temporary structure used around construction sites to enhance safety, security, and visual appeal.
While primarily designed to prevent unauthorised access and shield construction activities from public view, hoarding panels also serve as an effective advertising medium. They can showcase project details, brand messages, or promotional graphics, turning a simple site perimeter into an opportunity to engage with the local community.
Common uses of construction hoarding boards include:
- Advertising Hoarding: Can be used to promote upcoming developments or businesses with visuals and key messaging.
- Hoarding Signage: Ideal for displaying health and safety guidelines, contact information, or project timelines.
- Site Hoardings: Can be used to provide an organised and professional appearance for construction sites.
What Material is Used for Construction Site Hoardings?
Printed construction hoarding boards are typically made from 3mm aluminium composite material (ACM), also known as Dibond. This material is lightweight yet highly durable, making it perfect for outdoor applications.
ACM consists of a polyethene core between two thin sheets of aluminium, which offers excellent strength, weather resistance, and a professional finish for printed designs.
The high-quality surface of aluminium composite material ensures vibrant, full-colour printing with exceptional clarity, making it ideal for both functional site security and impactful hoarding advertising.
